Candlelit Restorative Yoga with Nicole Tietz
5 - 6:15pm
Restorative yoga is a practice of being held by props so that you may soften into the beautiful place of refuge that is present within you and within the present moment.
During this busy time of year, this is a gift that will teach your nervous system how to shift into the quiet space of the heart.
While in restorative poses you settle into a nest of blankets, pillows, and bolsters. Knees are supported. Ankles float. The head is cradled. Arms are held. Fingers gently curl. The chin bows. The body learns that it is safe, and it can rest.
As learned through training with Judith Laster, the four conditions that support a Restorative practice are stillness, darkness, quiet and warmth.
On December 22nd, we will create this environment through a candlelit practice. During this busy time of year, this is a gift that will teach your nervous system how to shift into the quiet space of the heart.
This workshop is limited to 6 participants to in order to create a cozy, intimate space for all.
Bio:
A nurse by background, I fell in love with yoga in my 20s and have enjoyed the evolution that my practice has taken through my 30s and 40s. I began teaching during the pandemic after completing my training with Anjali Sunita at the Baltimore Yoga Village and have enjoyed the opportunity it provides to connect with others while sharing this beautiful practice.
